Liminka railway station

Liminka (Swedish: Limingo) is a municipality in the Northern Ostrobothnia region, in the province of Oulu, in Finland. Liminka is located about 25 kilometres (16 mi) south of Oulu.

History

Liminka is founded in 1477.

By folklore, name Liminka comes by fictive giant, Limmi.

The Liminganlahti Bay is a famous bird paradise.
