The following is the List of the Roman Catholic dioceses of Italy. The Roman Catholic Church in Italy is composed of 225 particular churches, most of which are (arch)dioceses led by bishops. Dioceses led by archbishops are called archdioceses. There are 42 metropolitan archdioceses, which serve as the seats of 42 Roman Catholic ecclesiastical provinces in Italy. There are also 20 non-metropolitan archdioceses and thus there are 62 archbishops in total in the Catholic Church of Italy.
