Location of the proposed Lualaba province in the Democratic Republic of the Congo

Lualaba is a proposed province of the Democratic Republic of the Congo that was to be established when the country's new constitution was implemented, originally slated for February 2009.[1] The new province was to be formed by combining Lualaba District, Kolwezi District and the city of Kolwezi. Kolwezi was to be the capital of the province.[2] As of October 2010, this had not taken place.[3]
