[4]

On its opening weekend, the film grossed $41.1 million, the biggest Friday-Sunday take since Twilight's bow back in November. It broke Madea's Family Reunion weekend gross at $30 million as the highest weekend gross for a Tyler Perry film. "We were cautiously optimistic we could do 30-plus," Steve Rothenberg said. [5]
