Mariko Okada (岡田 茉莉子, Okada Mariko, born 11 January 1933) is a Japanese actress. She is married to film director Yoshishige Yoshida.[1]
Biography
Her father was the noted silent film actor Tokihiko Okada, who before his early death (the year following his daughter's birth) starred in Yasujiro Ozu's Tokyo Chorus (1931).[citation needed]
As an adult, Mariko herself was cast by Ozu, appearing for example in Late Autumn (1960).[2] She appeared in Mikio Naruse's Floating Clouds (1955) and Nagareru (1956).[3][4] She also appeared in Shinji Aoyama's My God, My God, Why Hast Thou Forsaken Me? (2005).[5]
