A sunny day in a green landscape, under a blue sky. A country lane meanders from the middle foreground to traffic lights in the right midground. On the right is a grass verge and a hedge. On the left, a grass verge edged with large boulders. Beyond that a wooden rail fence marks the edge of a smaller road, and beyond that a building with a ridged pantile roof and large ornate bargeboards. This is 'station house' the last remnant of the railway hereabouts.

Mumby Road railway station was a station on the Great Northern Railway between Willoughby and Mablethorpe. It served the village of Bilsby, and was named after the nearby village of Mumby. It opened in 1888 and closed in 1970.[1] The station was immortalised in 1964 in the song "Slow Train" by Flanders and Swann.[2][3][4][5]
