Persatuan Sepak Bola Indonesia Surakarta, commonly known as Persis, is a football club based in Surakarta (also known as Solo), Central Java in Indonesia. Persis Solo was a football club that was founded 8 November 1923 in Surakarta, Central Java, Indonesia by Sastrosaksono. Inception indirectly using the name Persis Solo, but still named Vorstenlandschen Voetbal Bond (VVB), a kind of association football. And in 1928, Vorstenlandsche Voetbal Bond officially renamed Persis Solo.

Persis Solo play their home matches at Manahan Stadium. Manahan Stadium design adheres to the international standards for stadium design which is completed with 35,000 individual seats. The grass used is Grass Dactylon Cynodon which is of FIFA standard class. The stadium is equipped with; football pitch, international-standard athletics, dressing room, heating room, health room, a secretariat, a journalist and a press conference room, and some offices.

For the primary training ground, Persis uses Sriwedari Stadium at Slamet Riyadi Road, Kadipolo football field, or Lanud Adi Soemarmo football field.
