Sathya Jyothi Films is an Indian film production and distribution company in Tamil Nadu. It was established in 1977 by T. G. Thyagarajan.

History

Sathya Jyothi Films was founded by T. G. Thyagarajan in the 1970s. Thyagarajan, an MBA graduate from the United States, is the son of film producer, late Venus T. Govindarajan, who had made films from the 1960s to the 1980s under Venus Pictures.[1] Thyagarajan initially ventured into film productions under the studio Sathya Movies, production company of his father-in-law R. M. Veerappan before founding Sathya Jyothi Films to make "slightly offbeat films".[2] The first film distributed by the company was the Tamil-dubbed version of Yashoda Krishna.[3][4] The company's first film as producers was Moondram Pirai (1982).[5]

1986 Manithanin Marupakkam K. Rangaraj Sivakumar, Radha, Jayashree Sujatha, a journalist, covers the story of Ravi who has been sentenced for murdering his wife Kala, Sujatha's sister. However, a day before his scheduled execution, Ravi escapes the prison.

1988 Jeeva Pratap Pothen Sathyaraj, Amala Jeeva, an unemployed youth, lives an ordinary life with his widowed mother and younger sister. His life turns upside down when his family gets murdered. [7]

1994 Honest Raj K. S. Ravi Vijayakanth, Gautami, Aamani Raj, an honest police officer, awakens from a coma after four years. He yearns to exact revenge against his best friend who turned into a criminal and murdered his wife and mother. [12]
1998 Harichandra Cheyyar Ravi Karthik, Meena Hari, a compulsive liar, falls in love with Nandini, an honest school principal. Though she accepts him for who he is, his habit of lying creates problems in their relationship.
2003 Parthiban Kanavu Karu Palaniappan Srikanth, Sneha Parthiban, a marketing executive, discovers that the woman he has fallen in love with is the same one that his parents want him to marry. However, after marriage, he learns an unexpected truth. [13]
2006 Em Magan Thirumurugan Bharath, Gopika, Nassar Krishna is always worried and sad as his strict father does not miss a chance to scold him. His father goes overboard by chasing him out of the house when he learns about Krishna's love life.
2008 Jayamkondaan R. Kannan Vinay, Bhavana, Lekha Washington When Arjun relocates from London to Chennai to start a business, he finds out that his late father had a second family and that his half-sister Brinda is trying to sell their ancestral property.
2010 Baana Kaathadi Badri Venkatesh Atharvaa, Prasanna, Samantha Ramesh spends his time flying kites and playing games along with his friends on the streets. However, his life takes a turn for the better when he accidentally meets an aspiring designer, Priya.
2016 Thodari Prabhu Solomon Dhanush, Keerthy Suresh Love blossoms between a pantry boy and a makeup artist aboard a speeding train bound for Chennai. The journey turns topsy-turvy when the moving train is taken over by a gang of dacoits.
2017 Sathriyan S. R. Prabhakaran Vikram Prabhu, Manjima Mohan, Aishwarya Dutta Guna, a local boy, falls in love with Niranjana, the daughter of Samuthiram, a deceased mafia leader. However, Niranjana's family does not approve of their relationship.
Vivegam Siva Ajith Kumar, Vivek Oberoi, Kajal Aggarwal, Akshara Haasan Ajay Kumar, a former counter-terrorism agent, is called for a special mission. However, he is betrayed by his friends and is accused of extremely treasonous acts.
2019 Viswasam Siva Ajith Kumar, Nayanthara, Jagapathi Babu Thookku Durai, a chieftain, gets separated from his wife, Niranjana, after their daughter, Swetha, gets injured during a fight. Years later, he tries to protect Swetha by joining as her car driver without revealing his identity.
2020 Pattas R. S. Durai Senthilkumar Dhanush, Mehreen Pirzada A young man is separated from his mother at an early age and becomes a petty thief. However, he soon realises his past and decides to learn an ancient form of martial arts to defeat an old foe.

2022 Anbarivu Aswin Raam Hiphop Tamizha Adhi, Kashmira Pardeshi, Napoleon Anbu and Arivu are twins, separated as infants. Anbu stays with his mom and grandpa. Arivu lives with his father in Canada. Incidents force twins to switch family to attempt the reuniting of their family. [15]
Maaran Karthick Naren Dhanush, Malavika Mohanan, Samuthirakani, Smruthi Venkat, Krishna Kumar, Mahendran Mathimaaaran, an honest journalist, exposes a fraud by Pazhani, a politician. As a result, it lands his career in trouble, while also threatening his family's safety. [16]
