Slug Cartilage is the fifty-fourth studio album by guitarist Buckethead, and the twenty-fourth installment of the Buckethead Pikes Series.[1] The album was part of a series of thirty pike albums that were released in close succession from one another during 2013.

The album was announced on August 26, 2013, with a pre-order for a limited edition opening the same day and shipping on September 4th. Like the previous effort, Telescape, the limited edition consisted of 300 copies of an untitled white album signed by Buckethead himself. A digital version of the album was also announced the same day and was released on September 4th, including the album's artwork and track titles.[2] [3]

A standard edition was announced but has not yet been released.
