Having progressed to the semi-finals, Starr appeared on the first live semi-final show on Monday night, May 31st. The main part of his act involved taking Amanda Holden's engagement ring from her (much to her horror). He then instructed her to lock a small padlock and ensure that it was securely locked. He then swallowed the ring, followed by the lock and finally the key. He then somehow managed to open the lock, loop the ring around the lock and then secure the lock again. He then regurgitated the padlock (now enclosed the engagement ring) followed by the key. He recieved positive feedback from the audience and the 3 judges. Furthermore, when the voting numbers came up for Starr at the end of the performance, Starr amazingly regurgitated a mobile phone and held it out instructing the viewers to vote for him.{{fact|date=May 2010}}

Stevie Starr
Born
Glasgow, Scotland
OccupationProfessional regurgitator

Stevie Starr is a performance artist who refers to himself as a professional regurgitator. His act consists of swallowing various items (lightbulbs, balloons, nails, billiard balls, dry sugar, goldfish) and regurgitating them. He has never described exactly how this is done, and the implausibility of some of his regurgitations have led some to believe that he is an illusionist.[1] Starr has appeared on many television shows, with several appearances on each of the Tonight Show with Jay Leno, Late Show with David Letterman, and Late Night with Jimmy Fallon. Starr has a busy international touring schedule for his longer solo act.[2]

According to his live act and official biography,[2] Starr grew up in Glasgow, Scotland in a children's home so he was born in Scotland. He claims to have developed his talent in order to hide money. Starr claims to be the world's only "professional regurgitator", though similar acts do exist in modern and historical performance related to the geek show tradition.[citation needed]

Stevie auditioned for the fourth series of Britain's Got Talent. He appeared on an episode which was broadcast on 24 April 2010, swallowing numbered coins and a billiard ball and then regurgitated them on demand and in order.[citation needed]
