recent?

"he recently squashed his beef with jadakiss". that's terrific. um.....when is "recently"? that statement needs a DATE. "recently" is not a time. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Wellcraft11 (talkcontribs) 15:36, 20 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

House burning down incident

Should this be included, its not often someones house burns own. We can get sources together if its worthy of adding to his private life section. --— Realist2 (Come Speak To Me) 02:40, 31 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Include this incident. It is bizzare that it is not there. Here's text from CNN. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 75.146.224.18 (talk) 02:17, 2 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

The edit adding the lawsuit/house burning down is so ungrammatical as to not make any sense at all. Wistar (talk) 20:40, 11 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Court ruling

I added this NY court ruling: New York State Supreme Court Justice Carol Edmead on June 11, 2008 he jacked off daily ruled that “50 Cent cannot sell his Dix Hills, Long Island $ 2.4 million property, must deposit fire insurance proceeds into a trust account pendente lite, and that, Shaniqua Tompkins pay him May $ 4,500 rent.” Tompkins sued 50 Cent for half of his estate.Reuters, New York judge bars 50 Cent from selling propertynytimes.com, 50 Cent Can't Sell Long Island Home--Florentino floro (talk) 10:00, 11 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

50 cent started rapping professionally since 1998! possibly 1997, but not 1999! he was featured in the Onyx song "React" from their 1998 album Shut Em Down! so please stop changing it!-SCB '92 (talk) 08:54, 9 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Yeah, i added the section of 50 cent having a rift between him and young buck on the controversy section yesterday-SCB '92 (talk) 12:12, 13 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]
It's not really "beef" when 50 Cent refuses to respond. Also, if you are going to add information please wikify the references. Thanks. --¤ The-G-Unit-฿oss ¤ 22:10, 17 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I did this time, but you deleted it again, why?-SCB '92 (talk) 12:26, 18 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Im not sure the waqar It's kinda recentism. It's big news at the moment (well it was), but will it be in a few years or months? Also, the situation isn't really controversy, if you see the new 50 Cent interview on Thisis50.com, he addresses the situation saying "it's a shame" and leaves it at that. If you insist on adding it, make sure you format references as described in WP:REF. --¤ The-G-Unit-฿oss ¤ 13:09, 18 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

50 Cent was only shot 3 times

more research needs to be done on the 50 cent shooting. 50 cent was only hit with 3 bullets. His hand, his arm and his mouth. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 70.70.40.238 (talk) 06:40, 8 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

No, he was shot nine times. Don't you get it? Read the article! ¡Ariba! -- MISTER ALCOHOL T C 06:23, 24 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Uhm, NO. He was shot AT nine times. If he were, HE WOULD BE DEAD. Don't you get it? Read AKON'S ARTICLE! Fake as well. And like Tupac, too. 71.210.126.225 (talk) 05:43, 1 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Controversy with Kanye West album sales

Shouldn't this page contain some discussion of the challenge 50 issued to Kanye? I find it surprising there is no mention of his rescinded claim that he would quit the business/his solo career if Kanye's album outsold his. Just seems like something worth having a blurb about. Anyone else think so? Nvalley (talk) 10:34, 8 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

50 Cent beef with NY rappers

50 Cent has a long running fued with members of the Wu Tang Clan, following his comments directed towards them in his single 'How to Rob'. Subsequently numerous disses were directed towards 50 on Ghostface's album, 'Supreme Clientele'. The fued would resurge after Tony Yayo made comments about Ghostface using a ghostwriter which led to insults directed towards G Unit by both U God and Ghostface. GZA released a diss track towards 50 entitled Paper Plate claiming 50 has ghostwriters. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 81.134.8.58 (talk) 20:38, 11 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I quite agree. There was a lot of publicity about this challenge in 2008. It should at least be metioned.

50 Cent a Republican?

I have a link here that says he's a Republican. Can anyone back this up? http://www.nndb.com/people/539/000024467/ —Preceding unsigned comment added by Wesley M. Curtus (talkcontribs) 07:04, 14 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

He said he would have voted for George W. Bush had his convicted felon status not prevented him from doing so, but that comment alone doesn't make him a Republican. 72.192.203.13 (talk) 05:43, 8 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry, but self-published pages can't be added to the EL section. Please see WP:EL for more. Carl.bunderson (talk) 06:30, 30 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Do we really need all these same social networking site external links? The 2 main social networking sites in the world are Myspace and YouTube which all musicians have, so why has the 50 Cent article got external links for Bebo and Ning? A quick google search shows bebo has less than 1% of the worldwide market share of the social networking sites and Ning has about the same. I think the bebo and ning external links should be removed, and all the other social networking links which are Myspace and YouTube should stay. Do you agree? Buisness Deals

Can someone add a buisness deals section and net worth? 50 cent is one of the most succesfull rappers ever and is a great buisnessman. I think a buisness deals section would be a important add. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 76.193.32.110 (talkcontribs) 20:36, 6 September 2008

"Half Dolla" Redirect

Is it really necessary to have the following:

"Half Dolla" redirects here. For the coin, see Half dollar (United States coin).

I think it's perfectly reasonable to redirect "Half Dolla" to this page, but to then suggest that they might mean "Half dollar (United States coin)" seems to imply that "Half Dolla" is an accepted abbreviation or synonym for "Half Dollar (United States coin)". Neither Mr. Jackson nor the term "Half Dolla" have anything to do with the US coin to the point of helping someone find information about the US coin by way of a nick name for a rapper.

No. It isn't necessary. I will remove this message now. -- MISTER ALCOHOL T C 06:08, 5 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Quincy Jones bond

25 Cent

This article used to, or maybe still, mention that 50 Cent had a cousin nicknamed 25 Cent. Is this true? -- MISTER ALCOHOL T C 06:04, 7 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Haha! I doubt it, it was probably just vandalism. GlassCobra 06:43, 7 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Yes 50 has a cousin who is currently active in rapping. Friends called him 25 cent but because its such a weird name he calls himself 'Two Five'. His dj is Dj Whiteowl btw. 7:14pm 16-04-09

50 Cent: The Money and the Power

I couldn't find anything about his new reality show elsewhere on Wikipedia. MTV does not give the last name of the competitors, but one of the competitors, Ryan Mayberry, has listen them with last names at RyanMayberry.com, cast-member official site.

There's the link for footnote. I can't get in to edit 50 Cent since it's locked except to registered users.

Here are the names:

  • Ryan Mayberry
  • Joanne Paguio
  • Larry Wade
  • Nima Tabrizi
  • Nathan Strickland
  • Rebecca Clark
  • Precious [no last name available]
  • Nikki [no last name available]
  • Jennifer Hunt

--207.237.223.118 (talk) 15:58, 7 November 2008 (UTC) It's really a shame that 50 cent is such a shit musician. I wonder why people purchase his music?[reply]

Don't offend 50. And you need better grammar. 50 Cent is NOT "shit". He's one of the most-recognized rappers in the world. -- MISTER ALCOHOL T C 05:36, 15 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

New Picture

I was looking, and the picture in 50 wiki is old needs updating. In the old picture he looks fat/chubby. I think it should be change because hes now slimer.

Mike Tyson

I removed a section which rather casually asserted as fact the claims of someone who has been under indictment for murder and drug trafficking. It is not at all clear to me that the Tyson connection belongs in this article at all, unless there have been some kind of legal proceedings in that regard.--Jimbo Wales (talk) 20:29, 6 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Error in the "Feud with Rick Ross" section

50 Cent Took Shots At Rick Ross On The Here I Am Freestyle. In this section, 50 cent is inaccurately quoted in his song directed at Rick Ross. It states, in reference to Lil' Wayne, that 50 cent says, "You're awfully quiet. You called 'em out... you've got to pass me to get to him." However, it isn't "'em," but "Em," as he is referring to when Lil' Wayne called out his mentor/boss, Eminem. Henceforth, "you've got to pass me to get to HIM." This small grammatical error changes the whole meaning behind the lyrics, and misrepresents the feud. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.228.165.229 (talk) 01:24, 9 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I also see it says 50 Cent posted a sex tape and want to point out that "Double R" means Ruff Ryders, the label that DMX and L.O.X. are signed to. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 72.226.157.22 (talk) 00:16, 29 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

In the video 50 said that the RR stood for Rick Ross. It was meant to be a joke. SE KinG. User page. Talk. 00:31, 29 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Controversy section

This section is POV according to WP:CRITICISM and WP:CSECTION and should be merged to the main musical career section. Look how short the "rise to fame (2000-present)" section is compared to the feuds section. Yes the G-Unit vs. the Game feud is very well-known but I think there's way too much focus on a bunch of obscure, "yesterday's news" type of diss songs. --Andrewlp1991 (talk) 01:15, 12 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Wu-Tang Clan Beef

50 Cent has a long-standing beef with the Wu-Tang Clan dating back to his references to them in How to Rob. The GZA has a diss song about 50, Paper Plates, on Pro Tools. Metalb (talk) 13:57, 8 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]
