What does it mean to have my name written in very large letters in wikirage(?)? Is it az advertisment?--Agnes Rapai (talk) 17:44, 28 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I speak Hungarian only, but not too well. My husband translates for me if he has time. Please write short text and avoid wiki slang.--Agnes Rapai (talk) 17:44, 28 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Article issues

[edit]

This article is not very well written and poorly sourced. Several things are unclear: 1/ Under "Literary reviews" there is a long list of journal titles (?? I guess, I do not read Hungarian). Are these journals in which Agnes Rapai published reviews or are these journals that published reviews of her work? In both cases, such a list is not very useful. More complete citations would be better, but an exhaustive list would be exaggerated. 2/ What is listed under "References"?? Are these sources for the things in the text? These references look to me like the titles of books and journal articles. What are they doing here? Please have a look at some other biographies in Wikipedia to get an idea how a good biographical article looks like. I am willing to help (and help you avoid conflict of interest issues), I but don't know much about poetry and don't read Hungarian, so you need to be clear.

The Fact

[edit]

Rapai Ágnes is just as noted a poet in Hungary as, say, Helen Dunmore is in Britain (they were born in the same year). Anon's running battle against her should be discounted. --Pagony (talk) 22:10, 10 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Reviews

[edit]

Upon JFHJr's plea, I have taken a brief look at these here reviews. As for all those not linked to, one can only guess what they may have for their subject, as they have such lyrical titles (a thing that can annoy a practical man such as myself - being a physicist - to no end ;). Of the three that do have external links, the first and third are relevant in discussing Rapai Ágnes, however, the second is not. I hope this was of help. --... there's more than what can be linked. 13:14, 11 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Notability

[edit]

As per the request of JFHJr which I was late to see, due to a terribly busy week, I took a look at the reviews and the external links. One review is from an individual's blog on literature, but two belong to mainstream literary publications in Hungary. All three reviews do indeed deal with A.R.'s work, and they are generally positive criticisms on her poetry. Also, one of the external links proves that one poetry book by A.R., translated into German, was cataloged in the 1999 Frankfurt Book Fair. I do read Hungarian poetry but I was unfamiliar with this author;however, having re-read the WP notability guidelines, my opinion is that these are met Cristixav (talk) 22:55, 17 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]
