Art name[edit]

The article presently mentions a controversy about Oshima Joun's art name, sourcing a statement to "Meiji no Takara: Treasures of Imperial Japan: Metalwork Part II (1995)". The Khalili Collections, who published the "Meiji no Takara" catalogues, have been contacted in private email with a correction. As a result, the Khalili Collections have recognised that the identification of Shokaken with Oshima Joun was an error, and have corrected their web page that makes the statement, replacing "He used the go Shokaken" with "He used the go Ichijoken." It's not possible to correct the statement in the printed book, so the change in the online version should be treated as a retraction. MartinPoulter (talk) 15:55, 14 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
