Ongoing protests?

[edit]

Is this still ongoing? I can't find recent coverage in foreign English-language media. There is one New York Times article from October 20 that says there is a protest ban in Jakarta, but there needs to be content on things happening in October for it to be ongoing - it's nearly November after all. The protests have effectively ended for almost 2 months now. There has been no protest-related road closures, security at protest hotspots have returned to normal, and there's nothing on the topic in the news. The last piece of news I can find would be this one on the 17th of October. There have been a few smaller protests like this one (Indonesian source) but it doesn't have anywhere near the impact or volume of the protests in late September. The large protests (that would result in closing of toll roads and train lines) fizzled out within the week after the government decided to delay the bill on the 25th. I'll pin the end at around 28 October, as there was a final batch of small protests. --Rizqidjamaluddin (talk) 08:17, 30 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]
