Clarification on the 18 killed in the info box
[edit]It says:
including 7 Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps soldiers, 5 Iran-backed militiamen, 4 Iranian Army officers killed, 1 Hezbollah fighter and 1 Iranian advisor
Who are the 5 Iran-backed militiamen? I thought that was referring to Hezbollah initially but then it lists Hezbollah separately. Is it referring to Iranian allied Iraqi militia - the PMF? Drsmartypants(Smarty M.D) (talk) 21:50, 27 October 2024 (UTC)
- It's talking about the 5 iranian officials that died in the consulate strike 77.99.84.170 (talk) 16:35, 31 October 2024 (UTC)
Infobox Picture Caption
[edit]The picture of the IDF jet was taken in 2019 and not during October strikes on Iran. Source
Article on October strikes on Iran also suggests that the picture is just "An Israeli F-35I "Adir", the model of aircraft reported to have taken part in the strikes." Redbeansoup (talk) 22:42, 27 October 2024 (UTC)
Infobox Casualties Section, couple of issues
[edit]- The casualties tab might be outdated. We can see that by how it mentions shrapnel in Jordan, but not the 1 Palestinian and the Israeli killed during October 2024 Iranian strikes against Israel. The Infobox does not mention the 5 Iranian officers killed in October 2024. I think Ebrahim Raisi also needs a mark next to his name to indicate he died, but not in relation to the conflict.
- I believe it's improper to mention 170 drones getting intercepted. I mean, it would make sense if those were reconnaissance drones, or any other drones that were meant to stay alive, like R.Q 170, or something that could launch missiles; But those were Suicide drones, or loitering munitions, they were meant to explode on their targets. I don't see any other articles report munition being launched by a belligerent as "casualties", so same should apply here. Not to mention Iran's drones tend to be rather cheap.

"Shrapnel in Jordan"
[edit]Whatever is it even supposed to mean? Remove it or write something that is not nonsense instead. 94.246.147.217 (talk) 19:51, 16 December 2024 (UTC)
If "shrapnel" was supposed to mean missile/drone debris, it's not "casualties and losses" in any way. Just remove it. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 94.246.147.217 (talk) 19:52, 16 December 2024 (UTC)
