Some solid sourcing on Hernandez' early life would be useful. Etzedek24 (talk) 03:35, 26 December 2017 (UTC)

@Krs1200: Sources? Etzedek24 (Would it kill ya to leave an edit summary?) 23:13, 20 March 2018 (UTC)

He also has beef with one of the few legitimate blood rappers Slim 400 despite having been co-signed by Slims friend Delyric Oracle and her “brother” OG Mack of Bricksquad 1017 who was pictured with Tekashi6ix9ine when he came to Arizona and it was relayed that 6ix9ine may not have checked in while in LA but did (out of respect not demand) check in with the OG piru in Phoenix. Doremifasolatid0d0 (talk) 08:07, 5 April 2018 (UTC)

The beef with slim 400 was the first documented beef he had with a celebrity , the interesting part is that wacka flocka (who many accused of buying his street cred and gang affiliation from OG Mack in a video he shot with him in the OG piru’s neighborhood was the source of his street cred in Hip Hop) the two have been beefing (as Flocka also beefs with Gucci Mane) internally in 1017 and also very publicly ... but both Delyric and OG Mack shared the video of Flocka telling Slim 400 and the Game that them saying Tekashi is only ballsy because he is hanging with Big OG bloods in Brooklyn and is blood is “dry snitching” this was probably because the video confirms and reiterates the fact that 6ix9ine is certified which many who do not know about bloods have claimed he was not Doremifasolatid0d0 (talk) 08:12, 5 April 2018 (UTC)

Discography section?

Can we get a discography section and graph on this page? I notice there's been a lot of progress on this article lately, but I figure the discography should be the next priority. Nikki Lee 1999 (talk) 04:54, 30 December 2017 (UTC)

Does he have released material besides the one mixtape and the singles? I'm not opposed in theory--to my knowledge he doesn't have enough music out to merit a discography section. I could be wrong though. Etzedek24 (talk) 06:14, 30 December 2017 (UTC)
Two charting songs seems to be in line with what warrants a small discography section on other Wikipedia articles. Bhad Bhabie for instance, has no album plans, but has two charting singles and a discography section on her article. If anything, I feel like that would be the most important part of the page, next to the main infobox. Nikki Lee 1999 (talk) 12:01, 31 December 2017 (UTC)

Rap trivia

Etzedek24 felt the need to revert this, claiming that somehow some "feud" with some other person involving silly allegations of gayness via Instagram is relevant. So the one guy says the other is a pedophile, then the other says the one is gay, and then the one says the other is, what, oh yeah, having sex with someone. This is "well-documented", says Etzedek, by which I think they mean it shows up on a couple of hip-hop gossip sites. By contrast, they claim this Instagram chatter is more important than a dispute which involved a shooting and a criminal investigation, sourced by four reliable sources including Billboard and Spin. So, the one is rap chatter via Instagram; the other is a criminal investigation reported on by reliable sources outside of the rap gossip circuit. I propose the Instagram nonsense is removed, as we routinely remove such celebrity gossip all over Wikipedia, while we keep that which has verified real-life consequences. Drmies (talk) 01:36, 10 August 2018 (UTC)

I will pull more sourcing when I have a chance, but the feud with Trippie Redd is at least notable because they were once collaborators, not to mention it's been ongoing and is simply more than celebrity gossip. Etzedek24 (I'll talk at ya) (Check my track record) 01:58, 10 August 2018 (UTC)
Haha, so that means you'll revert yourself, right? :) Seriously, I stand by my argument, but I do want to add one thing: no matter how wrong you are here (ha!), that Lafargue Clinic article you just put up, please put that up for DYK and get it on the front page; I think it's fascinating and really important (plus I love the long Ellison quote). Drmies (talk) 02:07, 10 August 2018 (UTC)
Done, but only because you said nice things about my new article. ;) I still maintain that the Redd feud is notable due to their previous collaborations and how it's been continuously covered, and I will find them in due time. Etzedek24 (I'll talk at ya) (Check my track record) 03:01, 10 August 2018 (UTC)
Thanks. Mind you, I only say nice things when I mean them. Sometimes you see something on Wikipedia and it just hits home one way or another, and this one did. Drmies (talk) 14:48, 10 August 2018 (UTC)

In the categories, remove "People convicted of sex crimes", because it is already covered by the category "People convicted of child sex abuse". 89.243.229.133 (talk) 03:45, 28 November 2018 (UTC)

Wait, what exactly is the criteria for "child sex abuse"? Does that definition really stretch wide enough to account for teenage pornography charges? I guess so since Anthony Wiener is on it as well. Still seems really misleading. Especially since the legal jargon regarding words like "abuse" and "child" are totally dependent on the state and country. I guess that would be something to bring up on that page rather than this page though. Nikki Lee 1999 (talk) 10:25, 7 December 2018 (UTC)

Infobox birthplace

The birthplace in the infobox is currently given as "Bushwick, Brooklyn, New York City, New York, U.S.", which I believe is excessively detailed, considering most people reading the article will know New York City is in New York, and that New York is in the U.S. I'm suggesting ending at New York City, like the infobox on the Donald Trump article. Name of "Feuds" section...

SlovonManob OK, the reason I renamed the "Notable Feuds" section to "Feuds" is because the word "notable" is extremely subjective. Who says these feuds are "notable", and why would you put that on an objective Wikipedia page? Also, if the section doesn't list all of 6ix9ine's feuds, why don't you just put the ones that aren't there in it? Neateditor123 (talk) 23:42, 16 December 2018 (UTC)Neateditor123

The Trippie Redd & Chief Keef are arguably the most notable out of all of 6ix9ine’s beef. Chief Keef almost died and his ex-girl performed fellatio on 6ix9ine, that stuff is extreme. Trippie and him are labelmates and they just got at each other so much it’s huge, and it reached a climax when 6ix9ine got with Trippie’s ex-girl. Also, I would like to put all the ones that aren’t on there but there’s just so many beefs that 6ix9ine has with other celebrities I would need a team to compose it all. If you’d be interested in working together or forming a team I’d be down. Also, I would just like to say I don’t want any smoke and I appreciate that you reached out to me. SlovonManob (talk) 23:53, 16 December 2018 (UTC)
"Notable" feuds is very much subjective and prone to an individual's original research or synthesis of other material. For NPOV purposes, the section should simply be titled "Feuds". StrikerforceTalk 15:39, 17 December 2018 (UTC)

Edit request on 16 April 2019 (philanthropy)

Under Philanthropy:

  • please remove the line: "On February 10, 2019, Hernandez filmed an anti-violence against women commercial for Romantic Depot, a New York based sex shop and lingerie store chain. The commercial video was released on Valentine’s Day and went viral on TMZ and other celebrity news sites.[115]". The reference makes no mention of this as "anti-violence against women" instead it clearly state that this is a commercial for a sex shop. There is nothing in the reference to indicate that his involvement in filming sex shop ads involved philanthropy.
  • please edit "On October 22, 2018, Hernandez met and spent the day with Tati, an eight-year-old Brooklyn girl terminally ill with brain cancer whose wish was to meet him. Hernandez took her out for a shopping spree at the residential Macy's" to a) remove the Macys reference (not mentioned anywhere in the references), b) remove the 2nd citation(xxlmag.com, which doesn't mention the incident it is supposed to reference.). New text: "On October 22, 2018, Hernandez met and spent the day with Tati, an eight-year-old Brooklyn girl terminally ill with brain cancer whose wish was to meet him. Hernandez took her out for a shopping spree."
  • please fix the citation for "In July 2018, Hernandez announced that a percentage of proceeds from sales of his Nicki Minaj-assisted hit single "Fefe" would be donated to various youth programs in New York.[112]" The listed citation is correct, but for some reason the link goes to a different, non-existent page.

Can someone add the word "singer" to the introduction? He sings in his songs Trollz and Fefe, both featuring Nicki Minaj. 2604:3D08:9476:BE00:CC76:C29:E353:32B0 (talk) 23:09, 24 December 2022 (UTC)

    Pass/fail:
This article cites several sources that are unreliable, especially for a BLP (TMZ, New York Post, Mirror etc.). Some references even lack publisher information. As this article is a ways away from meeting WP:V, I am quick-failing the nomination. Consider doing a thorough review of the references section to determine what needs to be improved.

the guys who assaulted him were arrested

somebody might want to update the part of his personal life section that says "no one has been arrested for the attack so far", three guys were booked on march 30th according to this article by the shade room. Snarevox (talk) 19:29, 2 April 2023 (UTC)

No details about his come up in Slovakia

Slovakia is mentioned once in the entire article, and only because it is referenced as the base location of one of his earlier labels, however, 6ix9ine actually did a lot more there. Child pornagraphy

The man was a child pornagrapher in the most literal sense, and the article seems to downplay that event. Is it the language of the law where he was charged? “Child sexual performance” sounds like a euphemism to me. WiggyWamWam (talk) 14:06, 12 January 2024 (UTC)

Upon following up on one of the sources, (an article from Jezebel), it includes reporting from the court case, wherein the assistant DA describes the video:

Assistant District Attorney Sara Weiss told the court about a video in which 6ix9ine is seen fondling the breasts and smacking the butt of a 13-year-old who was being penetrated by two adult males at the same time—orally and vaginally. Weiss quoted 6ix9ine as saying in the video, “This is what we do, this is how we rock.”

In the wiki article as it is, it just says that he smacked the child’s buttocks and filmed others having sex with the child, and then includes 6ix9ine’s claim that he didn’t have sexual contact with the child— All downplaying the facts and favoring 6ix9ine. I don’t know why this article is locked but someone with access needs to change a hell of a lot about it. WiggyWamWam (talk) 14:23, 12 January 2024 (UTC)
Yes, "Use of a Child in a Sexual Performance" is the language of the law. The portion you're quoting was added to Jezebel's article as an "Update (October 26, 2018, 8:25 p.m.)". That update was not yet present in Jezebel's article when it was used as a source for our wiki article about the subject. It is also included in this October 2018 article by Jezebel. I will create an edit request in another section below to add the information that's currently missing from our article. --62.166.252.25 (talk) 19:57, 3 April 2024 (UTC)

Remove website from infobox

I suggest removing the website from the infobox. It is neither a live website, nor more than merchandising. If, for some reason, we need to keep this link in the article, it could be moved to the External links section, with a clear description that it's an Internet Archive copy of the old store. --62.166.252.25 (talk) 18:49, 3 April 2024 (UTC)

Additional context for the performance charge

Section 6ix9ine § Child sexual performance charges provides context for the "Use of a Child in a Sexual Performance" charge. The source we use was "Retrieved December 18, 2017" and "Archived from the original on April 5, 2018". A more recent archived copy of that website, from 24 January 2024, here shows us that an "Update (October 26, 2018, 8:25 p.m.)" was added to Jezebel's article. The update includes this text: "Assistant District Attorney Sara Weiss told the court about a video in which 6ix9ine is seen fondling the breasts and smacking the butt of a 13-year-old who was being penetrated by two adult males at the same time—orally and vaginally. Weiss quoted 6ix9ine as saying in the video, “This is what we do, this is how we rock." Since we do consider Jezebel a reliable enough source to provide context for the charge - almost the entire paragraph, including the video descriptions - we should update our article to reflect the source's update. In other words, to make my edit request concrete in a "please change X to Y" form, here's what I believe should be done. After the paragraph that starts "In a November 2017 interview [...]", we should add: "At his sentencing, assistant DA Sara Weiss told the court that Hernandez did fondle the child's breasts and smacked her buttocks while she was being double penetrated." --62.166.252.25 (talk) 20:23, 3 April 2024 (UTC)
