A. J. Pollock (baseball) → A. J. Pollock – He is the only one known as "A. J. Pollock"; Clear primary topic 4137 views vs 243 for Algernon J. Pollock Joeykai (talk) 20:40, 3 July 2015 (UTC)
- Comment would you be displacing the disambiguation page, or merging it into the surname article? -- 67.70.32.20 (talk) 05:03, 4 July 2015 (UTC)
- NOTE an earlier version of this article (the baseball player) exists at the target location (from 2009), so should be histmerged onto this article. -- 67.70.32.20 (talk) 05:05, 4 July 2015 (UTC)
- Have you seen the version from 2009? It should have been deleted. None of the info from this article is from that one. A history merge three years later does nothing and is unnecessary. --Yankees10 06:58, 4 July 2015 (UTC)
- The history has been merged. In any case, a move of this article to the base location would get it associated with a prior AfD discussion [1], so it's best to have the history attached as the outcome of the AfD wasn't delete. -- 67.70.32.20 (talk) 06:09, 6 July 2015 (UTC)

- Support Hat notes would work fine to direct people to the other Pollock. There is no indication Algernon was ever known by "A. J.", and a dab page is not necessary. – Muboshgu (talk) 23:26, 6 July 2015 (UTC)
