It's okay not to include everything

[edit]

Having noted the revert by 24.36.196.112, I thought I'd explain my previous edits (which are recorded as coming from 99.231.94.255--guess I wasn't logged in at the time). I hope the maintainers of this article read this message without simply reverting back to the previous state of the article once more.

Please note that Wikipedia is not meant as a vehicle for promotion, nor is it a place for entertainers to list their entire resume. And while I know we can agree that the subject is notable enough for an encyclopedia article, some aspects of the subject's life just aren't. Please see the short guideline on content notability in regards to this. In fact, it does the subject a great disservice to list each and every time she made a public appearance, as it downplays the significance of her 'larger' works.

Also know that in summarily reverting the entirety of my previous edits, many productive edits that had nothing to do with removal of content were also reverted. Primarily, some attention was given to disambiguation of links. For instance, the link Skylar currently redirects the user to a punk rock band. There were many more examples.

Is Aaryn Doyle going to record a CD some time in the far off future?

Aaryn Doyle's MySpace site and Twitter site include information about her that Wikipedia doesn't have. Is Aaryn Doyle going to record a CD some time in the far off future? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 99.1.180.205 (talk) 04:35, 18 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I hope that this advice is taken well, and that the entire community can build a worthy encyclopedia article on Ms. Doyle, as we all watch the growth of her young career. Steamroller Assault (talk) 00:18, 19 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]
