Removing material
[edit]Hi,
I've edited some material with regards to source 7 and 11, since assertions are being made that aren't supported by the sources,. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2.29.52.80 (talk) 10:10, 4 April 2016 (UTC)
Birth year: 1965 or 1966?
[edit]1965 or 1966? Biography.com says "Born in Pennsylvania in 1966..."; Miller's own Everything I Learned about Life, I Learned in Dance Class says "I was born in 1965". TJRC (talk) 01:25, 9 May 2017 (UTC)
- That's a very good question. I'd be inclined to go along with 1965 since no one really adds to their ages. However, there has been a lot of legal reporting recently, where the Associated Press and others have access to court documents, which normally include basic details such as birth date, full name, address, etc., and those outlets have been giving her age as 50. My instinct is to list both years but other editors really should weigh in. --Tenebrae (talk) 23:04, 10 May 2017 (UTC)
- I think, list both years, and drop the exact date, which is not in either reference and, based on a quick sampling, doesn't appear to be in any other reference cited in the article. I can't find the date in RS or anything else that isn't potentially copied from Wikipedia. TJRC (talk) 14:59, 11 May 2017 (UTC)
- Listing both years probably would be best, though given the unusual circumstances, I'm hoping more editors will weigh in. I should point out that Sept. 21 does appear at the Biography.com cite, in the "Quick Facts" box immediately below her photo. --Tenebrae (talk) 23:48, 13 May 2017 (UTC)
As of today, Feb. 28, 2018, the Bureau of Prisons Inmate locator([1]) (search on first name "Abigale", last name "Miller") lists her as age 52, which is consistent with the 1965 date, not the 1966 date. TJRC (talk) 22:21, 26 February 2018 (UTC)
Please stop reverting this to 1966!! With all of the proof above, I do not understand why my edit of last week was reverted. The AP and other news sources are saying 1966 because that is what this article at Wikipedia has said, but it is incorrect. Her birthdate is 1965. ----Cucfan
- I reverted the date as the reference in the article gives the 1966 date, if you are going to change it to 1965 then you need to change the reference to one that shows the 1965 year. Also will need full details, including page number if it is a book. Keith D (talk) 00:11, 19 June 2018 (UTC)
OK. I changed the reference to her autobiography. I do not know the page number, but if you go to Amazon and use the "Look Inside" function, you can click through until you see a baby picture of her, in which she has the birthdate written. I can email it to you if you need me to. 159.218.3.180 (talk) 20:26, 20 June 2018 (UTC)Cucfan
Covid-19 edits
[edit]I've had a look on Google to type in the name and I see no news about this dance instructor relating to Covid-19 yet. Anon users are adding unsourced content to this article. Iggy (Swan) (Contribs) 17:41, 26 April 2020 (UTC)
- Yeah, i've done the same Iggy; i suggest we just keep an eye on it till such time as any info appears ~ or doesn't! Happy days, LindsayHello 19:59, 26 April 2020 (UTC)
"Racism allegation" section
[edit]An Instagram post by a secondary reality TV cast member does not necessitate a whole section. According to WP:BLP, allegations can only be mentioned if they have in-depth coverage and received extensive media attention that affected the public figure's image. If the celebrity's WP:Notability is significantly tied to the accusations, as is the case for Roseanne Barr and Mel Gibson (as two examples of racism allegations), then that content should be in their articles, with appropriate analysis and not in a WP:Trivia-like way.
