Questions Raised
[edit]With all due respect, how can a person who lived into the 20th century be labeled as the "Father of Urdu" when the language is so much older than that? There was so much literature and poetry before he was even born. There are people who are advocating that English be declared the national language of the United States. If they succeed, we won't be calling them "Fathers of English".
Second, again not meaning to offend anyone, why is this article and several others about Urdu in the Wiki Pakistan project? Pakistan does not have the exclusive rights over Urdu. Although I don't know for sure, but I think there are more Urdu speakers in India than in Pakistan. Even Haq Sahib was born in what is still in India. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 67.169.201.107 (talk) 00:15, 28 July 2009 (UTC)
rename
[edit]Maulvi is an honorific, like Reverend or Mullah -- not part of this individual's name. It should not be part of the article name. I suggest Abdul Haq (scholar) instead.
