Town named after him?
[edit]Was Ypsilanti, Michigan named after him?
Yes it was!!
No, it was named after Demetrius Ypsilanti, his brother Υπνερωτομαχία (talk) 00:21, 17 December 2007 (UTC)
Right or left arm??
[edit]I note in the article that Alexander Ypsilantis lost his "right" arm during the Battle of Dresden, "where his right arm was torn off by a shell" with a reference to князь Александр Константинович Ипсиланти (I can't read Russian). In the painting in the same article entitled "Alexandros Ypsilantis crosses the Pruth" by Peter von Hess, Alexander Ypsilantis clearly has his right arm but seems to be missing his left arm. Now either the first reference is wrong or the painting is incorrect (or it has been inserted in the article in reverse i.e. mirror image?) Can anyone help?? --Chewings72 (talk) 06:23, 12 January 2014 (UTC)
