The two incidents in 1997 and 1998 take up well over half of the article. I don't doubt that they're significant, but do we really need quite so much on them? Quoting three paragraphs from his autobiography seems a bit excessive. I'm also uneasy in that the tone in some places seems to be teetering on the edge of a fan page rather than an encyclopedia. For example, the repeated use of "AD" instead of "Donald" seems inappropriate. Finally, and most simply, the article hops between historic present and past tense on a number of occasions. Hopefully someone with plenty of knowledge about Donald (ie not me) can fix these things. Loganberry (Talk) 16:03, 5 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]
that incident in test cricket with mike atherton is one of the most exhilarating contest of the last 10 years, it absolutely demands a detailed write-up. donald and atherton both talk about it in detail in their autobiogs, and anyone who saw it will tell you how incredible it was to watch.
the 97 one less so, that was media-hype searching for a story that wasn't there. i'll see what i can do
