Athens Tram → Athens tram – This article needs to be retitled due to the word "tram" not being a proper noun in this context (i.e. MOS:PN) – nowhere does the operator of the Athens modern tram system refer to the system as "Athens Tram" at its website. --Relisted. Discussion
[edit]- Any additional comments:
- In that case wouldn't Trams in Athens be preferable? Mackensen (talk) 23:20, 26 June 2014 (UTC)
- Ironically, in this case, I'm going to say no. Reason: "Trams in [city]" is traditionally the title used for long-standing tram systems, or historical tram systems (e.g. take a look, for example, at Streetcars in Cincinnati versus Cincinnati Streetcar; or Streetcars in Atlanta, which will be on just historical systems once the coming Atlanta Streetcar project is split off in to its own article). The specific issue in the case of this Athens tram system is that it's a new system (only opened in 2004), and because of that I would stay away from the "Trams in Athens" title. In fact, I'm thinking I may try and create a separate "Trams in Athens" article on the (ultimately closed) Twentieth Century Athens tram system, if I can find enough info on, and references for, it... --IJBall (talk) 02:17, 27 June 2014 (UTC)
- Thank you, that makes perfect sense. I can't read Greek, but from scanning the website it seems like the service is branded "Tram" or "Tramway" (again, I'm relying on machine translation). In that case Tram (Athens) or Tramway (Athens) would be possibilities. Interestingly the other-language wikis use Athens Tram or Tram Athens (Greek wiki has Τραμ Αθήνας but I'm unfamiliar with that project's conventions). Mackensen (talk) 12:23, 2 July 2014 (UTC)
- OK, based on that, maybe it should be left as "Athens Tram" for now, even though I feel pretty confident that "Athens tram" would be more correct in this context... --IJBall (talk) 13:05, 2 July 2014 (UTC)

New Lines
[edit]We need to create new S-rail templates for the new T6 and T7 lines, as the tram station pages still show the outdated lines. Suvannixb (talk) 14:28, 24 February 2022 (UTC)
