[edit]Er... never really used a discussion page before, and I am probably breaking all sorts of protocols... The article implies that Gareth McLean's blog praises the series, while in actuality, (see the comments section of the blog in question, where McLean clarifies his previously ambigouos view) he was unimpressed. I didn't change the article because I couldn't put this into it without lending too much of an unprofessional feeling to the article. (and it would leave an hanging reference, which I don't know how to deal with) —Preceding unsigned comment added by 82.40.158.196 (talk) 23:09, 9 October 2008 (UTC)
- Gawsh, you're right, I didn't read the comments section of the blog before I added it. Obviously a negative-negative doth not make a positive. Removed. Bradley0110 (talk) 09:12, 10 October 2008 (UTC)
So-far unused reviews

Mistakes I think it is worth noting somewhere that due to the fact that the series is set in the 90's rather than when the book was written there are some mistakes. In episode 3, Debbie Doonan says that Mother Theresa is dead however this happens before the death of Diana. Also on the day of Diana's funeral, the boys are wearing school uniform which is incorrect as the funeral was held on a Saturday. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Alecs casnewydd (talk • contribs) 23:20, 31 July 2009 (UTC)
I did think about the Diana and Mother Theresa thing, but then I remebered that the stories are individual annecdotes told by the present day Simon, in relation to a question he has been asked, for example, how he got his posh. Therefore the stories are not set in an exact chronological order, and when reliving that certain memory of him pretending to be the ghost of Mother Theresa, this could have happened months after Diana's death. --Patyo1994 (talk) 11:59, 7 October 2009 (UTC)
- Also, to the school uniform question, I think they may just have been wearing them because they were their best clothes, and they wanted to dress up? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 220.253.150.89 (talk) 12:31, 15 May 2010 (UTC)
How I Got My Globe
[edit]In the description for the episode "How I Got My Globe" it mentions Debbie's friend Jamie. Although it infers he was gay it never specifically mentions how he died, and it seems rather stereotypical and quite offensive to jump to the conclusion that he died of AIDS just because he was gay. Shouldn't this be removed? 79.70.28.119 (talk) 16:08, 15 November 2009 (UTC)
