Considerable potential for expansion
[edit]I believe this is now a good starter article. There is considerable potential for expansion using the materials found in the "further reading" and external links. - Jmabel | Talk 08:22, 12 March 2007 (UTC)
His name
[edit]I cite some slightly vague remarks by his brother Lawney Reyes as to when Bernie started calling himself "Bernie Whitebear" rather than "Bernie Reyes"; Lawney implies that it was around 1970. I suspect that it may have been earlier; we may be able to sort this out if we can find pre-1970 source documents. - Jmabel | Talk 08:22, 12 March 2007 (UTC)
Hi Jmabel, I'm terrible at wikipedia so hopefully this just doesn't get deleted. I just wanted to say thanks for starting this article as I've always found this family fascinating. I actually called up Lawney to talk about Bernie and the rest of the family but I don't know wikipedia well enough to add anything without great struggle.--Lumpytrout (talk) 00:01, 4 August 2021 (UTC)
