Removal of promotional tag

[edit]

Hey @Ipigott:, can you please check this draft and let me know if it is still promotional in nature. If yes, then let me know so I can fix it. If not,can you please help in removing the tag? Thanks ElricFullMetal (talk) 11:41, 30 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

This is not a biography of a living personSandra Anne Jensen (talk) 13:23, 25 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Sandra Anne Jensen, I have removed the BLP tag. Cullen328 Let's discuss it 18:51, 25 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Images

[edit]

Images need captions. Also, the image in the infobox claims 1966, so how can daughter claim as own work? David notMD (talk) 10:31, 26 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@David notMD: I think I uploaded the images incorrectly or marked them incorrectly - the image is owned by me, not the work itself. SandAJ (talk) 11:30, 27 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]
The key question is who took the photographs. The photographer usually holds the copyright. You having the photographs in your possession (inherited from mother) does not make you holder of the copyright. David notMD (talk) 12:23, 27 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Non factual edits in Career section

[edit]

A recent edit to the text makes Ireland part of the United Kingdom as follows: In 1977, Jensen moved to the United Kingdom, where she then started a craft centre in County Donegal, Ireland. The history of the countries makes this a very grave error. As I have COI can someone revert the text accordingly please?SandAJ (talk) 11:43, 27 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Fixed. Note that an earlier part of the article has "...and moved briefly to the United Kingdom and then, in 1977, to County Donegal, Ireland,..." which probably contributed to the subsequent error. David notMD (talk) 12:28, 27 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]
There was always unnecessary duplication and the extra details regarding her move to Ireland should in fact be in the Community Service section, not Personal Life. I will request an edit. SandAJ (talk) 13:47, 28 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Removal of notable exhibitions from Career section

[edit]

Recent edits have removed text stating Jensen's work was included in a group show in Hester Rupert Art Museum, Graaff-Reinet and that she exhibited at Drian Galleries. The reason stated by the editor is that they were "unencyclopedic" - however given the concerns as to whether Jensen is notable enough to have a biography page, these two exhibitions are in particular notable. SandAJ (talk) 11:49, 27 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Group shows and gallery exhibiting usually not considered as adding to notability, especially if unreferenced, and the group show or gallery not separately topics of Wikipedia articles. David notMD (talk) 12:34, 27 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]
