The result of the move request was: moved in accord with consensus reached. Happy New Year to All! (closed by page mover)  Paine Ellsworth  put'r there  17:29, 11 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Pretty clear cut case of WP:PRIMARYTOPIC for the film, and the song is a stub article without any sourcing. While neither are massively popular, the film gets a considerably larger amount of page views. It can be reasonably inferred that many of the less than 100 people that visit the song's page in a day end up looking at the film page instead. Sock (tock talk) 16:25, 4 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Wouldn't people be searching for You Better Watch Out in that case? (The target of that could definitely use a hatnote or really, the redirect should be changed.) Looking back over a range that includes two more Christmases, it's pretty clear it's the recent film that's driving traffic, not the song. —Joeyconnick (talk) 18:45, 4 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]
I think Santa Claus Is Coming to Town has been moved, so the pageviews have been disrupted. In ictu oculi (talk) 19:17, 4 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]
All the same, media products pass... I agree with @Netoholic: so I'll stick with above thanks. In ictu oculi (talk) 19:09, 4 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]
