Substance abuse, wp:BLP

[edit]

According to the New York Times, in the book She Said by Jodi Kantor and Megan Twohey, the authors state

"In his first extensive comments since the Weinstein story broke, Bob Weinstein explains that he mistakenly saw his brother’s problem as sex addiction, a rationale rooted in his own previously unreported recovery from substance abuse, and how he abandoned his attempts to intervene. “I got worn out,” he told the journalists. “I said, ‘I surrender,’ see?”

Since this quote is not confirmed from Weisntein himself, it would seem prudent to delete the passage pending review at Wikipedia:Biographies_of_living_persons/Noticeboard#Bob_Weinstein. Discuss at the noticeboard.---- Work permit (talk) 23:17, 15 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Consensus is it should not be included, per BLP noticeboard [1] ---- Work permit (talk) 04:30, 23 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Sexual harrassment allegation excluded

[edit]

I didn't want to add it in as I assumed the information was removed and/or omitted intentionally, but I found it strange that a 2017 allegation of sexual harrassment towards Weinstein is not included. Can anyone fill me in on why? Sock (tock talk) 20:48, 19 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]
