All the trivia items realted to Beilema's rookie season

[edit]

After the bowl game I'll take some time to re-organize bulletpoints 2 - 6 under "Trivia" (as well as the bowl game info) into a new section titled "Rookie season". However, if someone wants to take a crack at it sooner, feel free to have at it. :o) -JakeApple 01:14, 19 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I created the rookie section, but I only added very limited info. Lordmontu (talk) (contribs) 20:26, 13 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

The citations in this article are off. I believe they are off by one. In example in the text it shows a reference to "8" but should say 7. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Dsundquist (talkcontribs) 10:30, 28 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Very flattering article about Bielema in Sporting News

[edit]

I don't know who works on this article with any frequency, or who our Arkansas Hogs editors are, but there is an in-depth article about the coach by Matt Hayes in The Sporting News, dated August 12, 2015: [1]. It discusses at great length the shift change within the Razorback football program over the last three years and credits Bielema for most of that change. I have also saved an archived version of it using the Wayback Machine: [2]. TSN regularly deletes old website articles from public view after so many days, but the archived version should remain indefinitely. Cheers . . . er, Go Hogs! Assessment comment

The comment(s) below were originally left at Talk:Bret Bielema/Comments, and are posted here for posterity. Following several discussions in past years, these subpages are now deprecated. The comments may be irrelevant or outdated; if so, please feel free to remove this section.

Bret Bielema is not the first rookie Big Ten coach to win 10 games his first season. Earl Bruce did that in his rookie year as a Big Ten coach (undefeated regular season). [3]
