Legal issues problems[edit]

Bruce Miller didn't plead to any domestic abuse charge. He was arrested for 243(e)(1) PC - battery of spouse or cohabitant. That charge was dropped because Miller's fiance recanted the claim that she was pushed: she admitted that claim was untrue. Miller pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor vandalism charge, having admitted he smashed her phone, which resulted in a misdemeanor conviction of disturbing the peace. As far as the Mercury News article is concerned, it appears to be some particularly shabby reporting making a number of factually incorrect statements.
