Speedy procedural close; on further review, the original move was a violation of WP:RM/CM (which requires a discussion "if there is any reason to believe a move would be contested"). Oppose move. Wikipedia appears to prefer professional terms in article titles (e.g. film is preferred to movie as per naming convention in 2005). So should the same be applied to an article about a television series? (Tk420 (talk) 11:46, 18 November 2013 (UTC))[reply]

Neutral. I'm just popping in to say that I wish Wikipedia did prefer "television" in this context. Since we clearly don't, consistency with the other articles is reasonable. Please note that the longstanding stable title of this article, from its creation on 3 May 2006‎, until 6 November 2013‎, was Buddy (TV series); therefore, that is the default title for this page. Per WP:NOCONSENSUS, "If an article title has been stable for a long time, then the long-standing article title is kept". In other words, there must be a consensus for this page to be titled "Buddy (television series)" in order for that to become the title.
