Speedy procedural close; on further review, the original move was a violation of WP:RM/CM (which requires a discussion "if there is any reason to believe a move would be contested"). Per WP:BRD, no move discussion is needed to revert such a move; a move discussion is required to move the page to "television" in the first place. bd2412 T 15:16, 22 November 2013 (UTC)
Buddy (television series) → Buddy (TV series) – Someone here assumes that using professional word "television" is the greater way than more common "TV". Therefore, I would like to hear all opinions here. George Ho (talk) 19:36, 17 November 2013 (UTC)
- Support. This is the first time in a long time I have seen "television" spelled out in a disambiguated article title. bd2412 T 04:31, 18 November 2013 (UTC)
- Oppose move. Wikipedia appears to prefer professional terms in article titles (e.g. film is preferred to movie as per naming convention in 2005). So should the same be applied to an article about a television series? (Tk420 (talk) 11:46, 18 November 2013 (UTC))
- You mean oppose "TV" and support "television"? George Ho (talk) 16:35, 18 November 2013 (UTC)
- Neutral. I'm just popping in to say that I wish Wikipedia did prefer "television" in this context. Since we clearly don't, consistency with the other articles is reasonable. I just wish we were consistent at "television" rather than "TV" for disambiguation. 168.12.253.66 (talk) 18:34, 18 November 2013 (UTC)
- Support per disambiguation guideline at WP:NCTV#Episodic television. --Rob Sinden (talk) 13:57, 19 November 2013 (UTC)
- Robsinden, what are your thoughts and feelings about this proposal and the guideline? We got one support (plus yours), one neutral, one oppose right now. George Ho (talk) 04:59, 20 November 2013 (UTC)
- The guideline is clear. We use "TV", not "television". Any change to the guideline should be addressed there, but it would affect thousands of articles. --Rob Sinden (talk) 09:46, 20 November 2013 (UTC)
- No need to ignore, but to obey that guideline? George Ho (talk) 20:22, 20 November 2013 (UTC)
- Absolutely. There is no compelling case not to follow the guideline, and no reason for this article to be named any differently from others. --Rob Sinden (talk) 09:22, 21 November 2013 (UTC)

- Please note that the longstanding stable title of this article, from its creation on 3 May 2006, until 6 November 2013, was Buddy (TV series); therefore, that is the default title for this page. Per WP:NOCONSENSUS, "If an article title has been stable for a long time, then the long-standing article title is kept". In other words, there must be a consensus for this page to be titled "Buddy (television series)" in order for that to become the title. I am undoing the incorrect bold move now per WP:BRD, to avoid any confusion on the matter. bd2412 T 14:47, 22 November 2013 (UTC)
