[edit]Bocanegra is not from Mexico. The start of the interview isn't entirely clear, but he's saying *his father* was born in Jalisco.
Ok can we confirm where he was born...so far people have claimed that he was born in Alta Loma, Upland, and Mexico.
As noted above, he wasn't born in Mexico. That came from a mis-interpreted audio interview. Presumably, Alta Loma was listed because it's his "hometown," where he was raised but not necessarily born. Here are a couple of sites that list Upland ... they also correctly list Pablo Mastroeni's birthplace as Mendoza, Argentina, rather than Phoenix, where he was raised.

confirmed: born in Upland, raised in Alta Loma

Fulham
[edit]Can't find a web reference yet so will try to find hard copy but Carlos was never known to Fulham fans as "The Jackal" to my knowledge - his colloquial nickname was "Choppernegra" in reference to an tackle on an Aston Villa player for which Manager Chris Coleman reputedly sent him onto the opposing team bus after the game to apologise. Rangers
[edit]Bocanegra is in the Rangers team today so he has not left yet. Sparhelda 13:30, 29 July 2012 (UTC)
