"Oldest Daughter"
[edit]A user on the Talk:John_Edwards page raised an important question. The John Edwards article notes that his son Wade (Cate's brother) was killed in an automobile accident in 1996 at the age of 16. Since this article describes Cate as the "oldest daughter" of Senator Edwards, and she was born in 1982, the user assumed that she was older than Wade. Therefore, s/he believed the date of Wade's car accident, or Wade's age at the time of his death, was incorrect. I believe Wade was two years older than Cate. Describing Cate as the "oldest daughter" is accurate, since she is older than her sister Emma Claire. But based on this user's confusion, I'm wondering if this article needs some clarification. Cate could be described as the "oldest daughter and oldest surviving child" of Senator Edwards, followed by a brief description. Currently there is no mention of any of her siblings in this article. Cate Edwards
[edit]This article lists Frances Quinn Hunter as a "sibling" of Cate. I would not support that "rush to judgment." Unclemikejb (talk) 18:55, 10 August 2008 (UTC)
- I think it could be included, if the infobox or article makes sure to put "half" sibling. --Willthacheerleader18 (talk) 01:28, 12 December 2010 (UTC)
