That's a big ... chicken
[edit]I see a vandalism about "that's a big cock!" was undone, but the vandal had a point - a 35kg chicken?!? I don't know the exact weights of this breed but it appears a certain anonymous editor added a digit here and there. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 208.191.155.95 (talk) 00:51, 26 November 2010 (UTC)
Merge with Cornish game hen
[edit]The Cornish game hen article is just an article about particular uses of the females of this breed as food (with a log of focus on American sources), plus some information on breed hybridization that belongs here, not at that chickens-as-food article content fork. — SMcCandlish ☺ ☏ ¢ ≽ʌⱷ҅ᴥⱷʌ≼ 23:57, 6 June 2014 (UTC)
- Agreed. Cornish Game hen as its own article is not needed, and can be edited in quite well. JTdale Talk 12:49, 1 August 2014 (UTC)
- Agree that Cornish game hen is a mess. The first paragraph should probably become a hatnote or redirect to Poussin (chicken); the rest is about commercial hybrid meat chickens in the US, so should probably be merged to Broiler, an article about commercial hybrid meat chickens in the US. Cornish Rock is already a redirect there. I'd be quite vigorously opposed to merging this rather trivial regional content into the article on the historic British breed. The Cornish game hen is a hybrid of Cornish chicken and Plymouth Rock Chicken. This is not the same as a Cornish Hen, which is the female of the Cornish chicken breed. The Cornish game hen is specifically bred by the industry as meat chicken. As such, while it can be mentioned in the Cornish Chicken Article, it should be part of the broiler article70.41.104.129 (talk) 20:55, 26 June 2015 (UTC)Candice Brill
- Agree with the IP. Mess or not, it is two different things. Farmer Brown (talk) 14:40, 16 August 2016 (UTC)
