[edit]In the early 90's, I was living up on the North Coast/Mendocino County. Went up to Redway, in Humboldt Co, to see him and the Acous War perform. I sat there not 8ft away from him, watching his left play all those chords. Learned alot that day. thanks Dan. About a year or so later on tour again, they show up at the Casper Inn (Mendo Coast), he was a bit drunk, but very nice. Approachable. Hung out w/ us for a bit. I soon moved to San Diego, CA and w/ his connection to Surfdog Records, based right here on SD's North Coast saw him and his Hot Licks perform at the Belly Up Tavern (Solana Beach). At one of those shows, the opening act was Dave Matthews. Ha!!!

Improving this article
[edit]I am surprised that this article has not been flagged as needing improvement. It has very few citations given the amount of material in the article, and at least some of the information seems subjective and marketing in nature. I would like to flag it so that it can be improved but am open to a discussion about that.DanDavidCook (talk) 20:17, 4 April 2015 (UTC)
