After 12 years, a bit of progress

Our article is incredibly incomplete. See sources given above (from 12 years ago). Our article on his daughter Myra Clark Gaines has more on him than this one does. Dictionary of LA Biography might be the best single online source. The APS members website, now the first ref in the article, is more than OK for a start.
