Record attempt[edit]

Record already, even if attempt only, hence most notable: On June 14, 2008,Zac Sunderland, 16, a yachtsman, of Thousand Oaks, California, sailed from Marina Del Rey in his 36-foot (11-metre) sailboat "Intrepid" to circumnavigate the world.www.smh.com.au, Aussie sailor's record under threat Zac primarily aimed to break David Dicks' record,www.smh.com.au, Aussie sailor's record under threat and if successful, this Ventura, California sailing prodigy will be the youngest American sailor since 1965 to attempt a solo global circumnavigation. 16 year-old Robin Lee Graham left Los Angeles, California but did not finish his voyage until 1970, at the age of 20. With over 15,000 sea hours record, Zac desired to emulate his other hero and friend, Aussie, Jesse Martin, who completed his own circumnavigation at age 18.pr-inside.com, 16 Year-Old Sailing Prodigy Zac Sunderland to Attempt Youngest Solo Circumnavigation--Florentino floro (talk) 08:11, 16 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

non stop?[edit]

Zac made it clear that the voyage is not non stop since he planned at least 15 stops, for 11 to 18 months. Dicks on the other hand in the article alleged that the voyage was NON STOP and solo, having been finished for 9 months. But there is no link or citation which proved that. So, can you or anyone delete non stop in Dicks? --Florentino floro (talk) 09:16, 25 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I added a citation for non-stop. (SEC (talk) 04:04, 28 January 2010 (UTC))[reply]
