suggested move
[edit]I'd like to move this article to "Abdul Wali (something)" so as to allow the bare name to be the disambiguation page, but I'm not sure what the something should be. Any suggestions? SamuelTheGhost (talk) 08:58, 6 June 2010 (UTC)
torture victim in the title again.
[edit]Calling someone a torture victim in the title is a violation of WP:title and WP:npov. It's POV pushing. V7-sport (talk) 01:47, 19 August 2011 (UTC)
- ? How is calling someone a torture victim in the title is a violation of WP:TITLE and WP:NPOV? IQinn (talk) 01:50, 19 August 2011 (UTC)
- Because it is a contentious label and it needs to be attributed to whomever is making the charge, obviously outside the scope of a title. V7-sport (talk) 03:00, 19 August 2011 (UTC)
- There are several people named Abdul Wali . unless you have a better description to distinguish him from the others, its OK as a title. (id like to see his middle name maybe..). As for the question of torture, there is nothing POV about torture, its pretty clear cut definition that most ordinary people understand instinctively from a young age. There are also legal definitions and by any of those he was tortured. It's also why he is in the news. So there is nothing POV about it. Decora (talk) 22:20, 1 August 2013 (UTC)

Abdul Wali (torture victim) → Abdul Wali – There is no other article of the same name, therefore there is no need for a natural disambiguation of the subject. It would seem more appropriate that the subject is the WP:PRIMARYTOPIC for that name, rather than the target also redirecting to the disambiguation page Tanbircdq (talk) 20:00, 14 May 2013 (UTC)
- Oppose - too many romanization variants at Abdul Wali. In ictu oculi (talk) 01:18, 15 May 2013 (UTC)
