Judy Carne IS dead

[edit]

Her hometown newspaper says she has died and quotes her niece and to quote the author of the piece about her dying:

"No hoax. Website called mediamass, which is a fake news generator, claimed it's a hoax. Judy's niece has confirmed it's true."

Give us a source then. Rusted AutoParts 15:53, 7 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Here. I'm bemused as to why some editors are refusing to accept it. Ghmyrtle (talk) 16:04, 7 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]
PS: Strong corroborative evidence from local Facebook contacts - "I can confirm that Judy Carne sadly passed away on Thursday at NGH, a close family member has contacted me to let me and everyone else know. I know this lady, I am sure our thoughts go out to Judys family and friends at this sad time." Ghmyrtle (talk) 16:57, 7 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]
No source, no death. Anything else is original research (WP:NOR). And don't mention Facebook as an organ of truth. That too is WP:NOR tainted. I mean, logged in, I could insert Kool DJ AJ's age as 57 in the appropriate entry on this page because I KNOW it to be so. Yet there are no hard references in print or on the internet to back up my knowledge. So I go with the sources, and don't put in unsupportable facts. 86.112.58.46 (talk) 06:07, 12 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]

"No source, no death"

[edit]

That's the point, though. There was a source, namely a newspaper, which quoted her niece.

The reason I started this discussion is because somebody was listing her as dead and included a link to the source(the newspaper) but people kept reversing the edit because, according to them, some American gossip website was more reputable and more believable than a newspaper local to where Judy Carne lived. 86.6.19.71 (talk) 02:49, 16 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Now listed under September 3. — Wyliepedia 09:58, 19 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]
