I'm curious why the "absolutely not" edit summary. For idol groups, as far as I can tell there is a music aspect and a spectacle aspect. For dots, it seems the spectacle is their anonymous/pseudonymous personae. The music aspect is what is left in the article after your edits (for which I thank you). I haven't gotten around to bringing over the remaining sections from the Japanese version of the article yet, so it's partial at that; actually, I was considering having a separate discography article like is sometimes done with musicians, although that wouldn't make sense without the existence of the other sections that would be left behind, so perhaps not. A member list is fine, but the table went into too much uncited detail regarding the backgrounds of their nicknames. I would suggest refocusing it on them as individuals. Their nicknames could be discussed in that context. Alternatively, their nicknames could be described in prose, provided that there are enough substantial sources discussing them. ―SusmuffinTalk04:02, 18 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Got it. That was a remnant from the jawiki article (I suspect a table makes more sense with CJKV typography and less so with Latin characters). The reason I switched the #Events section from years to 'periods' was so that the first item in each period could be a (cited, I agree) summary of the nickname changes, but trimmed down. I concur that their individual roles within the musical project could stand to be elucidated...I believe they are all vocalists but I think some play instruments also, although they have session musicians accompanying them as well. I will see what sources I can find that discuss this matter. Arlo James Barnes04:28, 18 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]
The name in the infobox is currently dotstokya and not dotstokyo, which seems like a typo. It really should match the article title. But I haven't fixed it, as I'm not clear enough about "correct" spelling of the bands name. -- Finlay McWalter··–·Talk09:58, 25 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Their actual name is just nine dots. However, someone moved the article to the name they use for their website since it is easier to type & remember. The a on the end must have just been a finger-slip; it has been corrected. Arlo James Barnes05:24, 25 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
