The full ransom note and the LA Times article.

[edit]

I accidentally fell upon an article that detailed the kidnapping of this teen. I had never heard of him, I am not from the area, nothing. I have no investment here. I looked up this article out of curiosity after having read the original LA Times article. Also there was a point in the narrative here that used the word "They returned to the Cudahy mansion" and there was the familiar clarification tag that was (correctly) pointing to "They" and I fixed that after double checking the article. Turns out he was alone, or so they said so that fixed that. However, it did publish the (supposed) full ransom note which I'll relate here. It can't be copyrighted, I don't believe, since it would normally be owned by the US Government AND it's been over 100 years since it was published. I'm not sure what to do with it. Should it go in WikiSource or WikiQuote? I'm not sure where to put the text, but I've created a user page with the full text and feel free to copy and put where it blongs. It's located here: Cudahy ransom note. MagnoliaSouth (talk) 00:43, 17 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]
