Gang member

[edit]

I have now reverted two IP editors adding the category 'gang member' to this article. I do not think this is appropriate as not only is he no longer a member, the original FSU has been disbanded. I will continue to remove the addition of that category until someone explains why they think it should be here and a consensus is reached. Freikorp (talk) 00:17, 13 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

MDC

[edit]

Removed the speculation that James was placed in an MDC because he was a gang member and/or considered extremely dangerous/escape-prone. It's just as likely that he was put in seg because he's a well-known anti-white power activist, and so he was placed there to be safe from Aryan Brotherhood reprisals. That's speculation too. Neither belong in the article without a reputable source, so I edited it to simply say he served his sentence at an MDC. If someone can find a good source as to exactly why he served his sentence there, it would be a welcome addition. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 70.109.175.105 (talk) 16:15, 12 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Article needs a lot of work, will probably be deleted.

For example, "While part of FSU he used a tactic learned from the United States Government [6], with he and other FSU members setting up an "arms for hostages" scenario in which they traded handguns to inner city gang members in exchange for pit bulls used in dog fighting rings. The dogs would then be nursed back to health and fostered until safe homes were found for them."

Cannot locate cited source, cite is in the wrong place (or the "arms for hostages" is an unsubstantiated claim).

Friends Stand United should be on a separate page for obvious reasons. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Stimulus response (talkcontribs) 07:54, 14 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Finally, bias is present. If the commonly accepted classification of Elgin's "organization" is as a criminal gang, then that should be presented primarily instead of an addendum.
