No consensus. See no agreement below to rename this article yet. As is usual with no-consensus outcomes, editors may keep an eye on reliable sources and other evidence and then try again in a few months to garner consensus for a title change. Kudos to editors for your suggestions, and Happy Publishing! (nac by page mover) Paine Ellsworth, ed.  put'r there  00:28, 16 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Essie HarrisonEssie di LuccaCommon name now, she's been referred to as Nurse di Lucca for ages. And di Lucca (with lower case d) matches Raf di Lucca. I'm unsure on what the article should be called. Perhaps a hits box would be able to tell us which is most common. However, since the character is only (incorrectly) credited as Di Lucca rather than di Lucca, it would have to be Di Lucca. Soaper1234 - talk 20:56, 7 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Essie Harrison gets about 20 views a day, and Essie Di Lucca gets about 1 view per day. But this will be lower, as it's a redirect so not linked from other pages. Joseph2302 (talk) 21:01, 7 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]
No, I meant a hits table (similar to what was done at Talk:Sonya Rebecchi before the page move). Soaper1234 - talk 21:11, 7 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]
The below hits table would suggest that Harrison is the character's WP:COMMONNAME. Soaper1234 - talk 23:54, 1 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]

I initially closed this RM as Moved per the discussion above this section, however, following this discussion in this section, I'm re-opening this RM to allow for further participation. IffyChat -- 21:42, 1 December 2018 (UTC)

Wait, how is the above a consensus supporting the move? One editor in favour, and another questioning if a hits box should be used? - JuneGloom07 Talk 17:00, 1 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]

@JuneGloom07: There's no participation requirement for requested moves, so they're usually closed as moved if there's no opposition to the proposal, and the rationale for moving from the requester is a good reason for moving the page. IffyChat -- 17:09, 1 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]
@Iffy: While I did not outright state that I opposed the move, I was unsure about it. I still stand by the fact that Essie Di Lucca isn't the WP:COMMONNAME and that a hits box would the best way to suss that out. Does that not count as opposition? Soaper1234 - talk 20:53, 1 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]
@Soaper1234: My job as a closer is to evaluate the consensus of the discussion, not to consider the possible effect of evidence not presented. If you (or someone else) are willing to provide evidence such as a "hits box", I can re-open the discussion to try and get a stronger consensus for or against a possible move. IffyChat -- 21:01, 1 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]
@Iffy: Thank you. Hence, a hits box:

Thank you. I'll move the page back and re-open the RM. IffyChat -- 21:38, 1 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]

  • The numbers above appear to be from searches that weren't put in quotation marks. However, "Essie Harrison" appears to yield a bit more hits than "Essie di Lucca" (not caps sensitive), 7460 to 5950. In Google News, the more accurate search gives 282 to 110. Thus, oppose per WP:COMMONNAME. It would be good to get this out of the backlog; looks to me like no consensus here. Dekimasuよ! 03:15, 11 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Oppose - Per above - but I would also argue that the character's more notable storylines have occurred while she was credited as Harrison.Rain the 1 00:00, 12 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Estelle

[edit]

Estelle is on Essie's name badge, Estelle is at the top of her BBC profile. It was removed from the article some time ago. Should it be mentioned in the opening of the lead?Rain the 1 12:10, 14 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]
