Swedish word

[edit]

Isn't angel wings more like Struvor rather than Klenäter, the latter are softer whereas struvor are hard and crispy. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 85.224.75.205 (talk) 17:35, 27 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Slovak word

[edit]

I'm from Slovakia, and I really doubt the supposed word "ceregi" exists. It's definitely not a standard Slovak word (having just checked in an official dictionary http://slovnik.juls.savba.sk/?w=ceregi&s=exact&c=t648&d=kssj4&d=psp&ie=utf-8&oe=utf-8) and very likely also not a slang/dialect word, because it doesn't follow the rules of Slovak language, the ending is not natural. Moreover, the standard slovak word for this item is "Fánka" http://slovnik.juls.savba.sk/?w=f%C3%A1nka&c=g4c6&d=psp&d=kssj4 141.89.89.145 (talk) 22:41, 11 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

It sounds strange to me as well, as even belonging to the Slavic family of languages. My only guess is that it could be a borrowing of the Hungarian name, but without a source to counterbalance your dictionary sources above, I'm going to change the Slovak word to "Fánka". Thanks for the note. -Krasnoludek (talk) 19:31, 6 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Merge of translations proposal

[edit]

I propose merging Faworki(Polish wikipedia, but has also other languages, but not English) into Angel wings. I see both of them are the same, but doesn't have the same "translation links" 87.205.130.34 (talk) 13:49, 7 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
