David Horowitz

[edit]

Although David Horrowitz certainly has some credibility in terms of having been present and involved during this era, he should not be considered as an unbiased source. Horrowitz had a political conversion from left to conservatism, and has become a controversial figure, suggestive of a conflict of interest in representing truths concerning leftist issues. Some recognition of this should be made, if only be stating that these are assertions claimed by Mr. Horrowitz.

These concerns should be echoed for other wikipedia articles, including George Jackson and perhaps others. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 67.160.229.184 (talk) 06:01, 9 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

The only contentious assertion cited to Horowitz was this: "Stender eventually had a falling out with Jackson over his repeated requests that she smuggle weapons and explosives into the prison." This assertion was also backed up by the other end of the political spectrum by Diana Russell, so I edited the statement to include both citations. Location (talk) 07:06, 9 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

"Stender eventually had a falling out with Jackson over his repeated requests that she smuggle weapons and explosives into the prison.["3][4] I have to question the accuracy and validity of this statement. I don't care what side of the political fence Horrowitz resides, until there is more substantial proof to this statement I view it as nothing more than slander, another pathetic attempt of defamation of character on George Jackson and other individuals that dedicated their lives to a struggle for equality and justice. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 50.174.130.59 (talk) 06:18, 2 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]
