The result of the move request was: Moved to Follow you Home (Embrace song). EdJohnston (talk) 16:13, 2 February 2014 (UTC)
Acoustic (single) → Acoustic (Embrace song) – WP does not disambiguate by the word "single" for the simple reason that we are writing about a piece of music/song and not a marketing device/piece of plastic. A move to to Acoustic (song) would be misleading, therefore adding the band name in seems to be the best option. Richhoncho (talk) 06:35, 15 January 2014 (UTC)
- Oppose "We are not writing about a marketing device/piece of plastic.", yet we write about Albums and Extended Plays as well. Moving the page to Acoustic (song) or Acoustic (Embrace song) would be misleading, since this article does not talk about a song. It is talking about a single with two tracks; just like a page about an EP or Album. If we're really intent and willing to break down Wikipedia's terrible way of documenting artist discographies even further, we could at least apply some little bit of common sense. There is no such song called "Acoustic" by Embrace, so the most obvious way out would be how Wikipedia normally does it (unfortunately): Take the first track of the single, in which case it is "Follow You Home", and make the song the subject of the article. Therefore;
- Acoustic (single) → Follow You Home (Embrace song)
- I'd highly recommend this if we're going to join the so-called "trend", and no I'm not being sarcastic; this is way better than moving to Acoustic (Embrace song). RazorEye ⡭ ₪ ·o' ⍦ ࿂ 07:25, 15 January 2014 (UTC)
- Strong support. It's an awkward disambiguation device as stands. Red Slash 03:17, 16 January 2014 (UTC)
- Support move to Acoustic (Embrace song) or Follow You Home (Embrace song)? RazorEye ⡭ ₪ ·o' ⍦ ࿂ 03:33, 16 January 2014 (UTC)
- Either one. Red Slash 03:37, 16 January 2014 (UTC)
- But Acoustic (Embrace song) doesn't make any sense, since there is no song called "Acoustic". RazorEye ⡭ ₪ ·o' ⍦ ࿂ 04:36, 16 January 2014 (UTC)
- Fine by me, then. I only truly oppose the current title. Red Slash 04:39, 16 January 2014 (UTC)

- Move to Follow You Home (Embrace song) - the name Embrace is needed since the "acoustic single" is making the song difficult to find. Even though the two other Follow You Home songs on All The Right Reasons and Tiny Town (album) don't have articles, but for once let's not play hide the song with this one. - The article should probably just be redirected until there is more coverage in independent sources to meet notability requirements. --StarcheerspeaksnewslostwarsTalk to me 20:06, 16 January 2014 (UTC)
- Oppose. RazorEyeEdits is totally correct, this was pretty poorly thought out. The subject is titled "Acoustic", but it is a single, not a song. In fact there's no song called "Acoustic" on this single. --Cúchullain t/c 17:16, 31 January 2014 (UTC)
- FWIW I would support Starcheers' suggestion of redirecting the article until the point it's covered in reliable sources, but that's not really a decision to be made at RM.--Cúchullain t/c 17:19, 31 January 2014 (UTC)
- Support Follow You Home (song), with a hatnote to All the Right Reasons for the Nickelback song of the same name. If we're making the article about a single (i.e., song) rather than a single (i.e., two-track disc), "Acoustic" is clearly unsuitable because this isn't describing a song of that name. Richhoncho, I'm not sure if you're watching here; do you really want to name this after a nonexistent song? --BDD (talk) 18:21, 31 January 2014 (UTC)
- Thanks BDD for reminding me to chip in again. I don't actually have a preference for the way this turns out save that we don't have the "single" disambiguation for many and various reasons. I wouldn't object to already suggested Follow You Home (Embrace song); Starcheers' suggestion also holds weight. --Richhoncho (talk) 19:22, 31 January 2014 (UTC)
