Requested move 14 February 2022
[edit]- The following is a closed discussion of a requested move. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made in a new section on the talk page. Editors desiring to contest the closing decision should consider a move review after discussing it on the closer's talk page. No further edits should be made to this discussion.
The result of the move request was: moved. Moving this article to Francis Howell (philosopher); I don't see any objections to that as the disambiguator, and I agree that it is a better disambiguator than (academic). – Having created Francis S. Howell, I doubt that there is now a primary topic of the name. BD2412 T 06:41, 14 February 2022 (UTC)
- Support Francis Clark Howell gets more views (73) than the academic (48)[[1]]. Crouch, Swale (talk) 10:33, 14 February 2022 (UTC)

- Support per nomination; Crouch, Swale; Ortizesp and MB. The six-sentence stub delineating the 17th-century academic is certainly not an example of a primary topic. —Roman Spinner (talk • contribs) 00:43, 15 February 2022 (UTC)
- Comment. If moved, it should be to Francis Howell (philosopher). "Academic" is a terrible disambiguator and he held the chair of moral philosophy. Added to which, Francis Clark Howell was also an academic! -- Necrothesp (talk) 14:31, 16 February 2022 (UTC)
- No objection to Francis Howell (philosopher) as the disambiguator; it's just not primary for the current title. BD2412 T 17:25, 19 February 2022 (UTC)
