It's just a stub for the moment. Onofre Bouvila 00:20, 7 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

The red cockade, used up to 1843 and in 1844/1871, had nothing to do with the House of Bourbon. It was not a dynastical badge. I do ignore whether the red was for Burgundy, for Castile or for Austria, but anyway the red was the Spaniard national colour before Felipe V.

[edit]

I evaluated the article as per the guidelines in the WikiProject Military History, and tagged it with a couple of task forces. Points to improve: I would get rid of the many dead links, unless someone plans on writing articles for those topics in the near future. Also, the format of some of the references may have to be cleaned up before it can be evaluated for the next higher level. Interesting article. Over. I'm afraid I've downgraded this to start. While it is very interesting, it is a long way short of meeting B1 (all major points in-line cited). Please take to the MILHIST assessment page if you want a second opinionMonstrelet (talk) 14:47, 2 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]
