Is it worth mentioning that Cricklepit - while fictional - is clearly based on Kemp's hometown of Exeter?

I assumed from "Tyke Tiler" that it was more southwesterly, but if you know better, please make a note of it!
I meant "southeasterly", because obviously Exeter is in the southwest.--Pooneil 23:01, 8 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Tyler or Tiler?

[edit]

Every cover of every different edition I've ever seen spells it "Tiler". I don't think there are any US editions, so the alternate US spelling is doubtful.--Pooneil (talk) 17:35, 24 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

The U.S. Library of Congress Catalog holds what appears to be a reprint: (Boston: Faber and Faber, 1979) same ISBN as our first edition.
WorldCat provides one library record for Tyler. It's an audiobook if i understand correctly:
I checked all 42 records via "View all editions and formats". --P64 (talk) 23:03, 20 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

References added and "no cite" tag removed

[edit]

The article needs more work but I've added some basic info and a few references to the obvious facts. Also removed the "no cite" tag. --Plad2 (talk) 07:44, 2 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]
