I have altered the circumstances of Vanderbilt's death to follow the description in his June 1961 obituary in the New York Times. Information on his yacht comes from Windjammer Barefoot Cruises. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Ocwarner (talk • contribs)


Reference conflict

The unreferenced articles George Washington Vanderbilt III and George Washington Vanderbilt II have some conflicting references if you go look. These reference show "III" being applied to the one who died in 1914 not the one born in 1914. If any there any experts on the subject with solid references your help would be greatly appreciated in referencing these two articles Jeepday (talk) 17:56, 27 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

This isn't an offense to your good-faith contributions. However, once the RM discussion at Talk:George Washington Vanderbilt II is over, we can deal with this III/IV matter then.
